Hi, my name is Kate, and I am a Master Personal Trainer. That still sounds a bit strange to me, because I am not someone who has been “totally into fitness since forever!” Actually, up until February 2013, I was a couch potato. A naturally thin one, mind you, but a definitely a couch potato. Then, things started clicking. A friend who ran a half-marathon, an article about the Couch to 5k app, another about being “skinny fat” (fat gathering around organs but not looking overweight), my kids choosing to sit at home instead of take a walk… and I realized I needed to make a change.
